September 27 is the Mid-Autumn Festival for 2015.
The theme for this week is The Power of Persuasion, written by Robert Levine, Ph.D.
Persuasion is 說服力 (shuì fú lì or shuō fú lì).
Dr. Levine has been a mentor to me starting back in college, when I collected data while traveling in Japan and Taiwan for his studies. Later he was one of my thesis advisors.
You’ll read that the most persuasive speech does not consist of over-the-top or impressive words, but often subtle words.
I recorded this lunar eclipse back in 2014:
I like to include a verse on Sunday, so the verse of the week to go with this theme is from Paul:
1 Corinthians 2:4
My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
